Mifflin House

This 19 X 26 1.2 full two story log house is in great condition.  Recently uncovered and ready to put back up as a home or with an addition.  We belieive it originally had two doors in front with a bead board wall that separated the main parlor.  We can however convert into a window if you would like.  Previous owners says circa 1800's at the courthouse with a new roof and gable around Civil War.  This hemlock pine cabin has a very clean hew job and in great shape.  Includes logs, replacements, joists.  Cost: $16, 900 F.O. B.

 

Cambria House

Don't miss out on this great little gem.  This 1 1/2  story 18 X 24 mixed species cabin was located in Cambria County and had been covered since the early 1900's.  It originally had an inside stack fireplace as can be seen in the one end.  As you can see from the photos the logs and rafters have now been replaced. This cabin has been numbered, stacked and is ready to make a great addition or a nice shop.   Also don't worry the new logs will age within a year and match the original logs. Price includes replacement logs and rafters or floor joists that are salvagable.  Photos below show before and after.

To the right is a shot of the original building, to the left and above is with the replacement logs and new rafters.   When this shot was taken the replacement logs were new, they have since then been dried out and match almost exactly!!!

  • HAND -Cut STONE

    Beautiful hand-cut stone, large, great faces.  $75 ton.  Great oak beams that came from a mill can be sawn into flooring or used as they were intended. $1000 each.  35ft long 15 inch face.

       

    The chestnut boards seen below range in width and thickness starting at 5" wide up to 15" wide, and 5/8 thick to an 1 inch thick.   Most boards are 8-10ft long.  The boards shown are hand-planed to give you an idea of the potential beauty however they are circular sawn and rough cut.  With over 500 square feet available the uses are limitless.  Flooring, furniture or any project where you need a knock-out wood.  Currently $8 square foot. Or make an offer.

       


This cabin was reproduced from an original pattern but using the owners ideas. This cabin is 20 X 26  One & 1/2 story  A cabin like this is approximately $65,000 as shown. Or you can purchase just the pine crib of logs for around $25,000 includes the rafters and joists.

Shown is a reproduction of an officers cabin located in Pallisades Park, Fort Lee, Nj. This cabin was hand-hewn from materials onsite, chinked with period mortar using clay and lime, and is currently used in their educational programs.  This cabin is a good example of yard buildings and playhouses we have built.  Approximately $7000 complete with roof.
