It's Not Construction It's History!
This cabin located in Bedford, PA, started out as a small cabin covered by siding (see before & after page) and is a perfect example of the marriage of old and new. The original 1830's cabin and 1890's timber frame were restored, a timbered structure and wrap-around porch along with a sunroom and stone addition were added to complete this dream home.
What We Do
Village Restorations & Consulting is a faith-based company that focuses on the historic restorations of log, stone & timber structures from the 17th, 18th & early 19th century. Our shop and office are located in south central Pa, however we service projects all over the country.
We offer three areas of expertise: historic architectural restoration, period reproductions, and historic trades education. With over 30 years combined experience in these areas, we offer our customers a historically accurate and high-quality product.
Because all of our work is tailor-made to suit each clients needs we are able to offer a wide range of options for the homeowner, museum, and various organizations that need historic restoration help.

Mastor Horners Roland Cadle and Art Decamp wiill again be teaching this hands-on class. You will be taught how to build the horn of your choice (screw tip or banded) starting from scratch to finish.
Log Construction 101

Learn how to hew and notch logs. Class will actually re-erect an original log house. Instruction from Roland Cadle
